SIX 4 GOOD is an accessories and jewellery shop with a difference. All of the brand-new items on sale in-store have been generously donated free of charge to Oxfam Ireland by SIX (a Beeline brand) to help raise vital funds for people living in extreme poverty worldwide.
The store in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is bursting at the seams with new fashion accessories and jewellery for women, men and children, including hair accessories, sunglasses, bags, purses, mobile phone accessories and homewares – perfect for Ireland’s bargain-hunting fashionistas and ethical shoppers on the lookout for on-trend accessories.
By shopping at SIX 4 GOOD, customers will not only bag stylish accessories and jewellery at discount prices but will also support Oxfam’s work worldwide, saving lives in emergencies, helping people build better lives through long-term development work and speaking out on the issues that keep people poor.
The funds raised through SIX 4 GOOD will help women like Valerie, a pineapple farmer from a village in Eastern Rwanda. Before Valerie started working with Oxfam’s partners as part of a farming co-operative, she struggled to provide basic things like food and medicine for her children. Now she earns enough money to support her family and has even been able to improve their family home and buy a cow.
Valerie told us: “Before joining the co-operative, my life was not good. I felt it was short and that there was no vision. When I joined the co-operative, we were trained, we learned and I felt relieved that I would have a good life one day. I was going to change my life.
“I feel proud that people respect me and say, ‘that woman is on top!’. I buy things that I need with no worry inside myself.”
