Winners and Runners Up

Charity retail teams give their time, dedication and enthusiasm freely to support their stores and causes and we are delighted to recognise their work. Every volunteer and staff member nominated is a winner in their colleagues’ and customers’ eyes and we send our warmest congratulations to all who were longlisted.

Martin Kenny Volunteer of the Year

This award is presented in memory of the late Martin Kenny who was Head of Retail at the National Council for the Blind Ireland. Martin was a founder member of Charity Retail Ireland (then the ICSA) and was also its first Chairperson.

It is presented to a volunteer who has shown exceptional commitment, performance and team spirit, and who has made a measurable difference to their shop.

Shop Manager of the Year

This award is presented to a shop manager who has shown exceptional leadership and commitment to their charity, to the shop that they manage and to their donors, customers, staff and volunteers.

Winner: Dorothy McGee – Oxfam Mullingar

Runners up: Mairead Mannion, Haven Horizons Ennis; Lilian O’Connor, Barnardos Cork; Marian Carter, Vincent’s Birr; Ramot Akinyemi, Vincent’s Balbriggan

Shop Team of the Year

This award is presented to the charity retail team who has shown exceptional commitment to each other  and to their cause, creating a positive environment for staff and customers and achieving great results for shop.

Winner: Gateway to Education, Limerick

Runners up: Deja Vu Bagnelstown; Vincent’s Tobercurry; Vincent’s Arklow; Oxfam Malahide

Shop Window of the Year 

Awarded to the most creative and impactful shop window.

Haven Horizons, Ennis

Runners up: Deja Vu, Bagnelstown; Vincent’s Kenmare; Barnardos Wexford

Online Presence of the Year 

This award is presented to the shop who kept in touch and engaged with their customers creatively and effectively online, whether via social media, sales platforms or a website.
