2. Promote the social, environmental and economic impact of the sector

  • Raise awareness of the social impact of charity retail on the communities in which our members operate.
  • Highlight charity retail’s position as the leading force in responsible consumption, increasing public awareness and helping members to signpost the environmental impact of the sector.
  • Support charity retailers to get the optimum economic benefit from their activities, promoting their causes and encouraging the public to shop with purpose.

3. Influence our stakeholders and advocate on behalf of the sector, representing our members at a local, regional, national and international level

  • Lobby government and regulatory bodies to promote the strategic goals of Charity Retail Ireland and its members
  • Influence, educate and inform government, the retail sector and the general public about the circular economy
